So soon, the trip to Ghana has ended. I can still remember those evenings when everyone of you would like to go to the roof top just to chat and get some fresh air.
The face painter, Zoe was just a great artist. Her paintings on Nana Ama’s face and on the kids faces during fun day was beautiful.
We remember during one service prepping when Amanda drew a carrot and everyone in her group laughed at her that it looked like a slice of pizza.
Lucy will always give a hug and a smile. You were indeed a great leader. Not to mention, during fun day. The flips you did is a memory.
Kaycie, we won’t forget the whispers you always made into Nana Ama’s ears just to tell her you loved her. Remember how much you wanted the giraffe paintings Rasheed did?
Dominic, the cute boy always running around with the kids on the park especially Henry. Remember the jokes you played with Gideon? You kept us happy.
Unique and calm was Rebecca. You really observed before you acted. Not to forget the face painting of a butterfly you drew on Nana Ama’s cheek and on the faces of kids during fun day.
Olivia the dancer. Dance time with Benedicta was just marvelous. You danced so well and made funny mistakes to make everybody laugh.
Elizabeth (Liz), your smiles always made our day so special. Remember when you always asked for pop corn because you loved it.
Luke’s first day in Ghana was his birthday. The ice cream and waifer was so good. Remember when the kids would run around you on the park and in the classroom?
The sign language teacher was Alexa. We won’t forget how well you loved the kids of krobo, how you carried them at your back and always asking questions about Ghana.
Speaking softly was Frances. You made sure every GLA student did a count down before everyday program started. At cedi beads, you were just marvelous.
The basketball coach was Khair. Khair keeps reminding Henry about playing basketball every morning and it was always achieved. Remember your birthday? Khair was always found on the roof top…he was the roof top owner.
Anna was so great to be with. We remember your smiles and how you love the water fall at Boti Falls.
Grade six with Natalia was great. Putting students in groups, organising and teaching them was just perfect. Making a batik was quick for you to learn.
Dancing at church service with Elinor was fun. We remember how you always wrote almost everything in your journal like a secretary. You always love the food the kitchen did.
Chinese was what some krobo kids used to call you, Ada. We remember your shopping of beads from the bead market because you loved beads. The pictures you took with the kids on the park and how they used to play with tour hair is a memory.
Maeve was lovely and good in making bracelets. Your teaching, eating and playing with the kids was just great. Our hiking with you to the umbrella rock was non tiring.
Quillan did a great job. Your hair was always made by the kids. It was fun to be with you.
We love you all….
Activities, tours and birthdays were just full of happiness. We will miss all.
