Hola Chicos!
This is Allie, Patrick, and Maria Fernanda saying hello! We can’t believe how the time has flown by since we last were together that last day in Coya. The three weeks we spent together were full of adventure and memories that are not easily forgotten.
We are so proud of each an every one of you – for all the challenges you overcame and hard work you did at the service sites. You are all leaders in different ways and we cannot wait to see where life takes you!
Now for some memories. Remember…
-Devan’s Coca Cola addiction
-The rock queens of service site #2, Brooke and Maycee, getting those boulders out
-Everyone’s talented mural art (including the “very fat” snake)
-Bus ride name that tune competitions
-Jorge’s deep life talks (and creepy mummy on the mountain story)
-French braids for dayzz
-Walking in the clouds at Abra Malaga on the way to Machu Picchu
-Becoming way too familiar with the term “Inca flat”
-Getting salty in Maras!
-Patrick taking the life of a cuy
-The excitement of family-style dinners
-Jumping off the bridge after rafting
-Challenging ourselves on the final day hikes!
-Room 203’s competitive spirit
-Texas Teased Hair
-All the pooches we wanted to kidnap along the way (including the bull terrier that popped our volleyball!)
-MayCee’s cookie joke and all the other performers on our talent show night
We hope that all of you are settling into a new school year and think back fondly to our time together in Peru. After dropping you all off at the airport, Patrick and Maria Fe conquered Rainbow mountain, as Allie was hit with 24 hours of terrible food poisoning and couldn’t leave the hotel. 🙁 But, we are all now much better and on to new adventures! We miss you!
Vive Peru!!
-Love from Allie, Patrick, and Maria Fe!
